Were you in foster care on or after your 18th birthday?
AND
Are you at least 18 years old and not yet 23 years old?
The Chafee Funds Program—Beyond (CFP-B) is providing a cash award to eligible foster care youth!
| You Must Meet the Requirements of One of the Following Eligibility Categories | Possible Cash Award |
|---|---|
| 21 through 22 years old AND were discharged from foster care at age 18 or older | $2000 |
| 21 through 22 years old AND currently in foster care | $2000 |
| 18 through 20 years old AND were discharged from foster care at age 18 or older | $2000 |
Beginning July 1, 2023, awards will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis until September 1, 2024, or until funds run out.
Note: You can only apply for this cash assistance ONCE. If you are eligible for any additional awards, you will be contacted by the program.
If you are 22 years old, DO NOT DELAY! You must apply BEFORE your 23rd birthday to be eligible!
